It is actually one of the top local ranking factors because it appears at the top of the search result for local terms. It means it pushes down the regular organic listing.

Listing business with the other big directories like Hotfrog, Acxiom, Thomson local, etc. and other relevant industries that are likely to send business your way will be more effective for the marketing of a local business.
