So, bloggers must understand the problems facing their audience and what the audience already knows about the topic to craft posts that deliver useful information.

Mistake#2 Being Confused With The Platform

The most common mistake people often make is choosing the wrong platform because of the confusion with the name. For instance, WordPress.com and WordPress.org.

It’s totally depending on how much you are willing to spend or how much control you want over your site, you can choose the best available option.

Mistake#3 Ignoring Importance Of Mails

If you want be a famous blogger, email lists are very important as a part of marketing campaigns. Along with social media, email marketing is a great way to get your content in front of more eyes.

So, it is advisable to set up an email campaign to get more views from the start. Just find the topic on which you want to write and send it our weekly or monthly.

Mistake#4 Avoid Posting Too Much or Too Little

Sometimes, it can be hard to find a good balance between posting too much or too little. You don’t want to overwhelm your audience, but you want to make sure they see new content when they visit to a blog.

You need to make sure about content quality, it couldn’t suffer. You can also try difference schedules for a couple weeks and see what works best for you and your audience.

Mistake#5 Not Allowing Advertisement To Your Blog

For starting phase, just do blogging as a hobby, but in due time, your website will want money to stay active even if you didn’t plan on it on the beginning. If you are going to spend a lot of time on it, using blog to make an extra income is the right way.

Don’t forget to allow advertisements on your website is a ordinary way to generating income, on other way is to include promoting affiliate products, offering a job board or asking for donations. So just try out some options that work for you.

Mistake#6 Making content length Shorter

To make your blog popular, just write in detail, as detailed content is that it ranks higher on Google. If you want to experience, have a look on the search page, you will see topmost pages will have at least 2000 words of content. So, this proves that the Google really sees content as king!

You just need to make sure that you don’t fill your posts with other stuff such as mind diverting images, GIF, and irrelevant statistics to reach the 2,000 word content.

One more thing to take into consideration that you must write for users and not for search engines. Hence, It just happens that people prefer detailed content with actionable steps that is hard to do with a few hundred words.

Mistake#7 Not Writing In A Conversational Manner

Gone are those days, when people welcomed lengthy lectures, nowadays, people like conversations over lectures. Most of the people prefer conversation than one way communication, because you never fall asleep when you have a conversation with your friends.

There are many ways to make your content more conversational;

  1. By using the words “you” and “I”.
  2. Don’t forget to use line breaks
  3. Highlighting the main words
  4. Never be too formal

Mistake#8 Not Selecting A Unique Blog Design

Designs always attract more visitors, whether it may online display or offline. By choosing a perfect design for your blog, you would stand out the best!

As, best and unique designs drives more traffic to your money pages, that also boosts your conversion rate and also it will make your content very easy to read.

However, always, look in for the size of font, typography and spacing, that are all little things and part of your blog design. As, these types of elements can have a big effect on readership.

Mistake#9 Not Joining A Blog Community

One of the silliest mistakes new bloggers make is going about it all alone. They ignore the enriching blog community. However, there are lots of talented writers who would love to form a community blog that is based on fantastic content around the world and that too in your niche.

So, don’t forget to join a blog community related to you niche market.
