Infographic - The Best Times and Days to Post to Social Media

With the social media landscape changing literally every single day, it's become a full-time job for social media managers to merely stay up-to-date on emerging and shifting trends and best practices. It's tedious, time-consuming, detail-oriented, and, quite frankly, a bit of a headache. But thanks to this new infographic, some guessing can be taken out of social media management.

“If I build it, they will come.” While that worked for an Iowan farmer hearing ghostly voices in the ether, it's most definitely not true in the world of social media. Why? Well, aside from the fact that Dubuque County was in dire need of a baseball field, there is just entirely TOO much content floating around the Internet. The best social media managers and/or content creators know it’s not enough to just have good content. On top of having the best content, you have to also understand where and when to post it to make sure your engagement levels are up to snuff and your audience is interacting with your efforts.

There's no catch-all best times and days to post to social media for every industry, but there are general best practices, like those highlighted in this infographic from SOCi, Inc. It's imperative to understand when your target audiences are the most active across different social platforms, who exactly they are, and what types of content they are engaging with the most.

While the landscape of social media continues to shift, social media marketers have no choice but to keep up... Unless they are content still adding people to their Top 8 and hoping for engagement metrics to improve. Yes, staying up-to-date with social media trends and updates is tedious, time-consuming, confusing (sometimes), and almost impossible. Thankfully, it's not impossible. 

Brands: Are you connecting with your fanbase? 

Brands that stay up to date on industry trends have a better chance of surviving in this digital age than those that simply “exist” and expect everything to be just fine.
