The Value Of CISSP In Cybersecurity Leadership

CISSP training is considered the gold standard for cyber security experts internationally. Despite thousands of jobs for CISSP certified individuals; there are only a few people who have this qualification.

The biggest challenge that government and business organizations face today on the technology front is inadequate cyber security leadership. Notwithstanding the obsolete programs, limited funds to improve IT security and the burgeoning hacker community, it is the burning need of ardent and devoted professionals with critical thinking skills and risk-based analysis aptitude who can protect companies, communities, and countries from accidental or unintentional upshot of every day activities that is keeping organizations anxious.

The Gravity Of The Problem

A recent study by RAND Corporation states that there are only 1,000 global cyber security experts as against the need for 10,000 to 30,000 cyber security professionals worldwide. The demand is getting bigger throughout developed nations like the US and will continue to rise as the Bureau of Labor Statistics expects the demand to go up by 53% in the year 2018. With only half of the US companies having the necessary workforce to manage highly sophisticated IT security systems, the rest of the companies are left exposed to doomed cyber security.
