How “Fileless” Ransomware Works

Ransomware is a big threat to businesses of all sizes and the use of ransomware is on the rise. One type of ransomware that is particularly hard to detect is fileless ransomware where malicious code is either embedded in a native scripting language or written straight into memory using legitimate administrative tools such as PowerShell, without being written to disk.
