Electronic signatures have gone mainstream as companies seek to speed up signing processes to improve experiences, reduce cost and mitigate risk.

A new London Research report, produced in partnership with Adobe, looks at how organisations are employing e‑signature technology and the resulting business benefits.

Among the key findings of this research:

  • Just over half (54%) of businesses surveyed now use some form of electronic signatures, and a further third plan to adopt the technology.
     
  • E-signatures are most commonly used by sales departments. Almost half (49%) of companies said they were using the technology in sales, and a further 41% are considering its implementation.
     
  • The main reported benefits of using electronic signatures are improved productivity and a better experience for customers, employees and partners.
