This one day event looks at the three stages of ideas - where they come from, how they are turned into reality, and the impact they have.
In short, snappy sessions (20 min presentations, a bit like a Ted Talk), speakers from a wide variety of businesses and backgrounds will talk about what has inspired them, the problems they faced bringing their ideas to life, and the effect their ideas had on their businesses.
Alongside this we'll also be hearing from experts on how businesses can be better at both creativity and execution, so you'll leave the event feeling inspired and ready to put your ideas into action.
Tickets are sold in tranches escalating in price as each tranche runs out, secure your's before the price increases!
If you have any questions or would like to make a group booking please contact John Horsley on 07949 050711
You will hear brilliant speakers from a variety of backgrounds providing punchy, thought provoking presentations in a similar style to a TED talk.

Agenda
9.00 Mike Nutley Intro
9.15 Dave Birss -Collecting Dots
Everyone likes shortcuts. Wouldn't it be nice if you could go away with a pocketful of techniques that you can apply to any problem to come up with an amazing solution? That's not what this talk is about. It's about what happens between your creative sessions. It's about the stuff that feeds your mind, makes it more powerful and gives you the ammunition to come up with fresh and disruptive ideas.
9.40 Eva Pascoe - How to liberate your inner entrepreneur or mindgymnastics for the winners
Starting-up and going solo are quite scary moments and leaving behind the mothership of a big, safe although boring company is not for the faint-hearted. However, there are ways to cross the Rubicon and build a small empire justleft of Tatooine or at least in East Shoreditch. This session will discuss the tips on how to spot an opportunity, and then to manage the transition from your 'old self' to the new entrepreneurial higher form ofbeing while staying sane and still walking the dog to the park on daily basis.
10.05 Paul Doleman
10.30 David Marks A Personal View of Creative Process
10.55 Break
11.20 Tom Ollerton
11.45 Matthew Patten -Time For Time Travel
Inspirational thoughts are 10-a-penny. Scientists estimate that the average person has between 40,000 and 70,000 thoughts every day. In the time it takes you to read this sentence, 350 million thoughts will have been born, lived and died in Britain. Every moment of human existence has been littered with millions of inspirational thoughts that failed to see the light of day.
In a world where thoughts and ideas are so cheap, there are three universal laws that govern inspiration. The first and most important law is that people are inspirational, ideas are not. The second (and most boring) is that implementation may be a dull word, but it's the ether that brings inspiration to life. And the third law is that intended inspiration cannot exist without time travel.
12.10 Andy Hinder -Is Creative Creating?
For an advertising industry that has relied for so long on creative output dictated by channel thinking, we are finally breaking out of the creative silo and stepping in to a collaborative world where creativity isn't defined by labels, titles, or processes, but by challenges to the way we solve problems creatively.
I will look at how we define creativity in a digitally democratic world, not forgetting where Ogilvy left us, but looking at where he'd look to take us if he were here today.
12.35 Urvi Bhandari -Innovation from within and collaboration
This session will look at collaboration both within the corporation and externally with the startup community.
The organization I run is like a startup within the corporation. We have a large solution set and we have a brand name. However strategy, target market, sales, marketing, and funding had to be created or found. It is a still a work in progress but the creation and execution of the group has been very similar to most startups. At the same time, AT&T is constantly looking at solution providers within the technology space. We actively seek out the partners in the market that have the capabilities we need. For a large corporate, working with smaller partners shows the importance of making sure we stay innovative through collaboration.
13.00 Lunch
14.00 Ian MacArthur -The Four Horsemen of Creative Mediocrity
With over 10,000 creative projects under his belt, Ian confronts and smashes the four concepts preventing you from being amazing.
14.25 Justin Cooke -A technique for producing ideas (2012 Remix)
In 1939 one of America's first and finest Ad Men, James Webb Young published a lucid and seminal book outlining the five essential steps for a productive creative process. Like all good things, so much of what he said then remains true today. In fact with the advent of the computer network, the mobile phone and social media in the preceding years Justin Cooke will talk about why he believes Young's techniques are more relevant, powerful and potent now than ever before.
14.50 Eileen Brown -Why content marketing kills inspiration
We know that great content is critical to demand generation and success but our desire to automate as much as we can often overrides the production of quality content. We spend our time curating to sort the content wheat from chaff but instead produce another flood of uninspiring content for our readers to consume.
Ask for forgiveness – not permission - and innovate your content strategy. Know the challenges your readers face with the Bacn deluge - which does not tickle their taste buds at all.
15.15 Brian Cannon -Definitely Maybe
Brian Cannon explains the ideas, inspirations and the inside stories behind some of the most icon record cover designs of the 90's.
15.40 Break
16.00 Antony Mayfield -Thinking with digital: Ideas, tools and leadership
In parallel with the explosion of tools for creativity in digital we are learning more about how the human brain works. Connecting insights from both of these fields, how can we think more deeply about thinking and ensure we are developing the tools, culture and leadership to make the most of these as individuals, in our teams and our organisations?
16.25 Nils Anden -Marketing innovation – Building a brand in the new media world
16.50 Patrick Younge -The Inspirational Amateur
The digital revolution is destroying most barriers to entry in media and marketing, and enabling all kinds of new entrants into the marketplace for ideas and content. Simply throwing open the doors for all comers doesn't guarantee quality - anyone sifted through the hundred hours of content uploaded to Youtube every minute? So how do you engage the crowd, introduce a bias towards quality and create value?
