Robin Trust is CEO of The Kite Factory (formerly MC&C Media) where he oversees the agency’s journey of transformation, building on its performance heritage and evolving and adding to its capabilities.
Under his guidance the company has driven proven and effective growth for all its clients, winning more than a dozen new business pitches in 2018 alone.
Robin joined The Kite Factory in 2013 as Business Director. His move to CEO came in 2018 when he took over the reins from founder Mike Colling. The appointment was the culmination of five highly successful years for Robin, who was promoted to the board soon after joining the agency and, within two years was promoted to the role of Chief Client Officer, followed by Deputy Managing Director, and finally to Managing Director in 2017.
Today, he oversees an 80-strong team working with clients including Which?, David Lloyd, TM Lewin, Comic Relief, Unicef and Royal Mail. Under Robin’s leadership The Kite Factory offers a 360 consultancy-based service that goes beyond media to help brands understand and realise their potential.
Robin has 20 years’ agency experience in all areas of media, most recently as Media Director at Proximity and OMD UK. Prior to this Robin held senior roles at Crayon Customer Insight, Independent Direct Marketing Ltd and Zenith Optimedia.
Robin has a passion for performance marketing and has extensive experience in driving growth across all channels, from broadcast to data and digital media. He also works closely with creative agencies to encourage a truly coordinated media approach.
