Big Challenges With 3 Prominent Ecommerce Stores

With ecommerce development it is essential to have a custom design and backend that you can easily manage. There are certain stores, like Magento, WooCommerce and Shopify, that you can have at a premium for making online sales. But, these all have certain features that can pose a big challenge for you.

With a massive halt to physical production and work, the need has been raised to have an online business. Retailers and distributors are shifting to digital platforms for keeping the business cycle going on. Now, this shif is in full swing. People are finding an easy way to scale their visibility and earning capacity.

Statista has predicted that global ecommerce sales can rise to 25% by 2023. It indicates that this is going to be a big trend of the upcoming decades. More and more businesses will scale visibility and fetch growth upon coming over the internet.

If, particularly, consider about online stores, this platform is compatible for being flexible, futuristic, economic and easy to manage. But, you can have some challenges while installing some ready-to-install e-storefronts.

Challenges With Prominent Ecommerce Stores

There are a few things that won’t work for ecommerce website development, and certain challenges that can interfere with your online selling dreams.

WooCommerce

  • Hosting

The biggest drawback to having an e-store on this platform is no hosting. You have to pay some extra bucks for purchasing it, which can be an additional burden on you. You need to keep its renewal date into account also for keeping it up and running every year.

  • Tussle to Upload and Set Up

Despite being a ready-made e-storefront, you may encounter trouble in setting it up optimally in the beginning. Certainly, a technical hand that is experienced enough in remodeling would be needed. However, you can find it way easier later.

  • Difficult to Manage Theme

There are a variety of themes available here for usage. You first need to understand how it works and then, gain efficiency in handling it. If you need an exclusive kind of design and settings, you have to hire an expert web designer & developer to edit it corresponding to your merchandising goals.

  • CSS Can Be Problematic

CSS or central support services can be troublesome when you upload and edit the theme. It is the language that prescribes the way web pages will look, adapting different types of devices. But, this ecommerce store does not have it, which may lead to challenges while interfering with theme and hosting.

  • Free Themes are Limited

Unfortunately, you don’t have more of choices for selecting the best theme because there are only a few ones that you can have free. If you want the stunning and exclusive theme, you have to pay for it as it does not come for free.

Shopify

  • No OOTB Features

Unfortunately, Shopify lacks the OOTB features. These define an out-of-the-box features or functionality of the software that smoothly runs immediately upon installation or without configuring or modifying. You are going to miss this feature in it.

  • Slow Processing

Slow uploading speed of the website represents that you need to optimize your website. This e-storefront sometimes gets slow down even if it has in-built optimization features. This can adversely affect the visibility, traffic and conversion of your store online.

  • Paid Tier Pricing Feature

Tiered pricing is an effective retailing strategy, wherein a price per unit within a range is defined. It consistently decreases the price per unit every time when a unit is sold out. You can analyse customers and sales with it. But, this shopping site provides this feature at whopping $80 per month, which is expensive.

Magento

  • Over Complex Structure

Magento is one of the most complex shopping sites with over twenty-two thousand files and two hundred database tables. For being loaded with this super complex structure, it costs a lot. This makes hosting complicated and hard to afford.

  • Enterprise Version is Expensive

If you want to have an enterprise or premium version for your online shopping store, it costs an arm and a leg. Simply put, you have to invest thousands of dollars to have it. Subsequently, you may have to bear some additional cost.

  • Not Easy To Manage and Edit

Magento is one of the most complex systems to make changes in. If you want desirable changes, you have to hire a genius developer for making changes in it. He should have advanced knowledge of ecommerce development.

These are the reasons why people prefer in-house development team so that they can have a desirable store with some exclusive and easy-to-hand and understand navigations and systems for analysis & content uploading at the backend.
