Creating a Website’s UX in 2020 – 5 Factors to Keep in Mind

So you are a novice web developer and want to deliver an excellent user experience for your web visitors. You want the result of that UX to increase the rate of conversions that your website yields.

Creating a website’s user experience can be a daunting task. Especially if you do not have the right skills or do not know what to look out for when designing the web UX. There are a number of professional web development service providers like CydoMedia, that can help put your website’s UX back on the right track.

Therefore, we shall discuss below 5 factors to keep in mind when creating a website’s UX in 2020:

1. Brand Properly

Branding your website is always of immense and pivotal value. But, getting the branding done in the proper way is of even more importance.

You should aim to deliver a premium experience on your landing page that clearly defines your brand vision, including the punchline and the proper combination of visual elements to capture that first impression.

You should consider:

  • Graphics
  • Fonts
  • Visual elements
  • Logo and punchline
  • Colour pallets and themes etc.

2. Don’t Make it Wordy

Of course, putting content on your website is very good since pictures usually cannot speak for themselves, especially when you want to sell physical products.

Including unnecessary words that only work as buzz and do not really talk about the benefit that you offer to your customers is a bad approach to customer experience.

You should focus on paying attention to how you solve a problem for your customers. Self-praise is good if you talk comparatively with other brands, but bragging isn’t. So keep this in mind.

3. Catalog and Design Properly

Properly design and arrange your products in catalogs. Doing this will not only increase the impression of your products but will also make them look more professionally displayed on your website.

Consider how you usually feel when you visit a clothing website and the items are all over the place. Everyone likes things arranged and organized in a mannerly order. They are more eye-catching.

4. Get the Navigation Right

This is perhaps the biggest turnoff for a visitor if they are looking for something and they cannot find it. We cannot stress this enough that you need to get your navigation right.

Start off with a proper wireframe of your UX. This way you can manage and direct your resources to create web elements that are already thought-out. Separate tabs for each section should be made e.g.:

  • Landing page
  • Media catalogs
  • Locations
  • Account
  • Contact Us

5. A Clearly Visible “Contact” Page

This is perhaps covered in the last section but it needs to be addressed separately. Surely you can go on adding flashing visuals and premium looking themes on the skin of your website but all of these basics are very important as the bones for your website.

The contact page is very important. Suppose you have a customer who wants to order something or enquire about a particular item – and he or she can’t find any contact details. The result: You lose a potential sale.

Therefore, always make sure to have a contact page which clearly has your entire contact mediums defined.
