Reasons Why Your Business Would Benefit From a Corporate Video

Video content is undoubtedly one of the most popular forms of content in the world, in fact, according to a recent study from Smart Insights, it is predicted that people will spend 100 minutes a day consuming online video content by 2021.

With that being said, it is clear that video marketing strategies will be essential in the long term and video has many advertising and marketing benefits that you can use to benefit your business.

What Types of Corporate Video Are Available?

Many businesses see a corporate video as a behind the scenes look at their team and processes, and whilst this is one of the more common forms of corporate video, there are actually various types of corporate video you can take advantage of including:

  • Brand videos
  • Conference films
  • Social media videos
  • Email video
  • Testimonial videos
  • Product demonstrations
  • FAQs

Each of these types of video come with their own benefits and uses and it is essential you understand your audience and message before deciding what type of corporate video your business requires.

For example, if your aim is to demonstrate your products' uses or capabilities, a product demonstration will be ideal. If, however, you are aiming to answer questions, then an FAQ video is the obvious choice.

Furthermore, some forms of corporate video content are better suited to appeal to different audiences. Social media videos, for example, are ideal for targeting a younger audience whilst traditional corporate videos and email videos are perhaps better suited to a B2B environment, so it is essential to understand your audience when choosing a video type.

What Are The Benefits of Using Corporate Video Marketing?

As mentioned previously, each type of corporate video comes with its own unique set of uses and advantages. However there are some overarching benefits to corporate videos as a whole, regardless of which type you pick.

The main advantage of using corporate videos, alongside your traditional marketing strategies, is that you can reach a wider audience.

It is no secret that everyone consumes information differently, and adopting corporate videos alongside your traditional marketing efforts is a sure fire way to ensure that you are reaching as many people as possible and giving your business the best possible chance of gaining customers.

Another benefit of corporate videos, as a whole, is the fact that Google loves video content and video content often appears in the normal search results for a number of queries.

Regardless of what industry you operate in there are always going to be questions or guides to your goods and services that need answering. Answering these queries in video content can provide a number of marketing benefits as Google rewards useful video content.

Furthermore, this content can be relatively easy to make and you may even have old FAQs and guides that you can repurpose into video content for the purpose of ranking highly in search engines.

Finally, video content is widely popular as it can often be universal and, therefore, video content is easier to share.

People are also more willing to share video content as it is easier to consume than a long blog post or webpage and can be more informative than a social media post. In fact a report from Idearocket estimated that video content gets 1200% more shares than text and images combined.

It is obvious that video is only going to grow in popularity and taking advantage of video from a business viewpoint can have larger short and long term benefits to profitability and brand recognition.
