5 Social Media Marketing Tips for 2019

Social Media is a forever changing landscape, and without a comprehensive and agile strategy, not utilising each platform to gain maximum potential for your business may be doing you more harm than good. In 2019, it’s not just about what you have always done, it’s about adapting to previous strategies that may not have worked and refining to use them to your advantage.

Experimenting with new platforms will allow you to gain an understanding of what resonates with your consumers, working with the data to seek the best solutions for your business. Below reveals five social media marketing trends that your business should not go without trying in 2019.

Chatbots.

Using these mediums will ultimately save you time by automating the process of answering questions, encourage sales and directing clients to exact products they are after, providing support and personalized customer service. Adding chatbots to your social media strategy will only benefit you if you know your end goal. Remember to make sure that the more focused your goals for your chatbot, the better the outcomes will be.

Personalization.

People respond well to people and if you are executing this across your social media platforms, you will find your audience will become more responsive. Responding to your user's comments by liking and engaging with them will show that you as a brand genuinely care about their feedback and interactions. Sharing photos of your staff members, encouraging your clients to showcase your products by tagging you in their photos will only help you build rapport with all your potential customers. They will feel a certain connection to you or your product without actually physically using your product or service.

Voice Search.

In the current digital age, searches for products and brands are done across multiple search engines. While it is easy to access the majority of information, you need to make sure voice assistants like Siri, Google and Alexa can find your brand easily if searched. Allow a full voice search strategy to be incorporated into your 2019 plans.

Content planning.

Understanding what your specific audience is engaging with is imperative to gain the most out of your time for both planning and creating content. If you are writing things purely for the sake of creating content, then your consumers will become unengaged and not interact with you. Find out what's trending in your industry and write creative pieces with flair and originality. Refurbish old successful blogs to keep relative to current times, consider evergreen content pieces that can be shared weeks and even months into the future with the continuation of giving your audience added value.

Reviews.

We all know the importance of positive reviews, but many businesses forget to share success stories from their happy clients. The first thing many people do before purchasing a product or service is looking at multiple reviews to see where the gaps may be. If you share positive feedback across your platforms, then you are instantly connecting with a new audience as soon as they visit your page.

Social Media Marketing is a forever changing landscape and one that requires constant change and adaption. Incorporating the above strategies into your 2019 plan will allow for you to gain a competitive edge, and keep at the forefront of the digital landscape.
