What IoT Teaches Us: Some Business Cases & Examples

IoT has obtained a compelling improvement over next-gen technology. With that in mind, it has become the buzzword for market researchers, who have a susceptibility for innovation.

What appeared to be a wave turned out to be a tsunami. IoT is interacting in various areas with an appeal and demand stronger than before. The technology is massively antagonistic, amassing most of the tech domain in advance. The internet has dragged off the conventional means of recovering information and service. IoT is making a huge footprint in the world of employment through its integration with time tracking apps and employee productivity.

Here are a few IoT business case examples and what they teach us.

IoT Breathing Life in Businesses

IoT has obtained a compelling improvement over next-gen technology. With that in mind, it has become the buzzword for market researchers, who have a susceptibility for innovation.

Stats & Facts for IoT Business Application Revealed

About 80% of retail businesses will go for IoT in one form or another this year. The reason is simple. There is a simple idea behind this. IoT used to be expensive before. With it, business security and ROI (Return on Investment) was a gamble. IoT has transformed from limiting the prospects of being a leading solution provider.

No doubt, IoT has helped more than 90% of businesses achieve benefits. These include building effective relationships with customers and increasing their revenue. They can predict the consumer pattern using IoT combination with AI and cloud computing. IoT has made new approaches.

How IoT Rules Businesses & What it Teaches Us

IoT action is still in demand among the services that tend to transform their industry. Some cases are discussed below.

Digital Farming

To provide tech-enabled farming, PS solution partnered with Ericsson and CKD corporation to launch a platform called E-Kakashi which means scarecrow in Japanese.

This AI-powered IoT tool works by analyzing current weather conditions, such as temperature, humidity, CO2 levels and so on. The next action is determined by Ericsson IoT accelerators and AI-supported analytics.

With the help of E-Kakashi like apps, farming can go smart and can come around utilizing the collective benefits of IoT, AI, and cloud tech.

Monitor Air-Quality

While human health is important, we need to ensure environmental protection. There is a US-based tech company app that designs and deploys sensor networks to create an intelligent environment.

Through the sensors, the systems monitor evaluates and analyses the air quality in American cities. It also detects the pollutants and stores relative data. From neighbourhood to neighbourhood, these sensors are equipped with Google Street View through which cars can collect about 2 billion data points each day.

IoT based Waste Management

While sensors in the IoT application are required more than before, a smart waste program called Bigbelly is a global innovator taking help from IoT for waste management. Every unit communicates its real-time status and sends a notification to the crew for collection. It includes system setup tools, evaluation, management, and optimisation through a mobile application.
