Why You Should Incorporate Video Content on Your Website

In today’s competitive business world, your company needs to stand out from the crowd. To improve a business website, why not incorporate video content?

Producing video content will help promote your business brand. The ability to communicate, engage and interact with video content on a website with existing or potential customers has certainly proved to be the gateway to success for my companies website.

There are many reasons why you should use video content on your website whether you’re a business website owner or just have a general website. Here are a few:-

  • People tend to stay on a website longer if they are looking at a video
  • Videos usually keep browsers interested in your service or the product you’re selling
  • Videos are a fantastic way to tell your business story which what selling is is all about
  • Video content is convenient, easy and fast to take in
  • With people working with people, videos help them to trust, like and get to know your company

There are also commercial and branding benefits of incorporating video into your website.

Videos tend to boost levels of engagement

Sometimes getting the potential customer to understand your brand messaging can be quite a challenge. You need to find a medium that can communicate to potential clients in an easy way. A recent study has highlighted that businesses using video marketing, 76% reported an increase in traffic due to video. Actively engaging with an audience will help to increase the time they spend on a website page while also lowering bounce rates. This is a great ranking factor for SEO purposes too.

Incorporating video content on your website will provide an instant positive impact. As the saying goes “a picture is worth a thousand words” so a video must be worth millions. Even a minute-long video can tell customers and new consumers all they need to know in a fraction of the time it would take them to click on and read specific pages. In business time is precious. Having video content on your website will enhance your user’s experience, attract more customers and boost your bottom line.

Increase your online presence

Videos are a good way to share a story. Today, people need info to make an informed decision quickly. Including videos on your website is an effective way of demonstrating the benefits of your products and services. Videos will also increase your online presence by keeping browsers engaged for a longer period. For SEO purposes, Google prefers pages where people spend time, instead of just clicking off the page straight away.

Another reason to use video on your website is that you get the opportunity to showcase your personality and how your business operates. It’s a great way for people to find out more about the products or services you provide. Interacting with your audience via online videos will help you to get your message across in an interesting way.
