A recent study shows that 57% of online traffic is now from mobile, and Google will put its new mobile-first algorithm into action this year. Businesses need to attach an even great importance to their mobile marketing activities. In this post, Filmora have rounded up some key stats and tips you need to be aware of in 2018/

Nearly 70% of the world's population own some type of a mobile device, while nearly 60% of traffic on the Internet comes from phones or tablets which are being used to browse the web.

57% of all online traffic is already driven by mobile devices and this number will likely continue to grow. This statistic suggests that brands who fail to repsond to consumer needs may do so at their own expense. Smartphones also have a 64% better conversion rate than desktop computers, while ads for mobile devices increase the chances of making a sale by up to 1.9 times. Businesses that want to improve their online sales  and make their services more accessible to people around the globe should include mobile marketing as a key part of their online marketing strategy.

This doesn't creati b a bunch of mobile ads, but that it's critical that your website is optimised for mobile. According to the statistics, Filmora's team has gathered as many as 61% of people who have encountered a problem accessing a website from their mobile device are were not going to return to that website.
