Implementing Long Tail Keywords for Search Engines

In today's technology driven world, a strong inter net presence is a vital component of any successful business. When consumers search for a specific product or service, you want your website to be at the top of the search results. You can structure the content of your website to optimize your presence by taking advantage of long-tail keywords and proper webpage formatting. Understanding a few simple, yet effective SEO hacks helps drive potential customers to your business's website.

Understand Long-Tail Keywords

A long-tail keyword is a specific phrase that consists of multiple words. Long-tail keywords tend to be used by customers who are ready to make a purchase. As a business, you should focus on implementing long-tail keywords into your page's content to maximize the traffic from interested users.

An example of a long-tail keyword is custom WordPress development because this is a very specific service, and users are unlikely to search using such a narrow phrase unless they have a strong desire to undergo the procedure.

Using long-tail keywords helps you improve your search engine ranking. When a generic search term is used, it is difficult to achieve a high placement because there are so many pages with that term. Additionally, having a high placement is not as useful because broad terms are not commonly used by those ready to make a purchase. Someone who needs a certain legal service, such as assistance with a child custody dispute, is unlikely to search for "lawyer." A distinct term like "child custody lawyer in Georgia" is much more likely to be used.

Find the Top Long-Tail Keywords

Using Google webmaster tools is a simple way to see what searches are driving users to your site. You can also use Google Analytics to check your rankings for a phrase and see how many times your site is included in a user's search results. Once you know the keywords that your content is lacking, you can build content that improves your ranking and generates more traffic.

Implement Potent Long-Tail Keywords

To make the most of long-tail keywords, you need to do more than just mention the phrase on your page. Search engines are smart; they know when content is meaningful and when it is a blatant attempt to draw more traffic. One way to effectively use long-tail keywords is with lengthy, in-depth articles.

Articles should be at least 2,000 words. Research shows that articles of this length are popular with internet users and are favored by search engines, actively driving more potential customers to a site. More potential customers gives you a greater ability to grow your business.

When constructing your article, the long-tail keyword should be used in the title, in the header, and in the body of the article. Within the article's body, it is appropriate to use the keyword more than once. This gives your content multiple, authentic uses to bring users to your webpage.

Your articles must be well researched and well written. Start with a broad topic and cover it thoroughly. Explore multiple situations and different outcomes. Incorporate graphics, charts, and videos to keep users interested. Cite sources so that users know you are a reputable authority.

Go Viral the Right Way

When a page explodes on social media, it is because the page appeals to the users' emotions. In particular, users are more likely to share content that elicits positive feelings. Articles that showcase fresh or controversial ideas, heart-warming stories, and humorous videos are just a few examples of content that is likely to go viral. Find an idea that works well with your industry and run with it.

It is preferable to produce content that has a gradual rise in popularity rather than a piece that suddenly explodes. Pieces that seemingly appear overnight tend to fade just as quickly. Pages that slowly increase in popularity are much more likely to stand the test of time and keep their internet presence.

Consider Your Page's Layout

When creating your page, you want the important stuff at the top of the page. When a potential client visits your site, it is likely he or she will spend the majority of the time "above the fold." Content that appears when a page first loads, without scrolling down, is considered above the fold.

A high-ranking page makes the most of its above the fold content. At minimum, the title of your article and your page's navigation menu should appear above the fold. Users can easily determine what the page is about and navigate to additional pages on your site.  Any content that is a "call to action" should also be placed above the fold.

Utilize Call to Action Buttons

Call to action items include such things as downloading a publication, receiving a quote, and sending a message. To effectively sell your services or products, your website has to have a call to action. This encourages potential customers to take that extra step to patronize your business.

A call to action button should integrate language that is strong, but not too salesy. For example, a button should read "get free quote" instead of "submit." Submit comes across as too overbearing and can discourage potential customers. It is recommended to use the active voice when writing call to action content.

One of the easiest ways to achieve increases in your profits and business growth is to improve your search engine rankings. Proper formatting, content, and keyword use can all enhance your ranking so that more potential clients are drawn to your site. Work smarter, not harder, to incorporate relevant content that draws more users to your online content.more detail click here
