With the output of so much information, the internet has become prey to accounts that are now popularly known as trolls who expertise in damaging the image of both individuals and companies that can seriously affect their growth and stature in their respective fields.

Online reputation management, therefore, has become an essential tool for anyone who needs to protect themselves from such personal and unnecessary attacks from them and also to shield their intellectual property from being misused or mistreated.

Although a lot of reputation management companies have expertise these situations, sometimes little comments or reviews might not be handled immediately therefore here are a few tools that you can use for monitoring any kind of reputation management on a digital platform.

Google Alerts

One of the easiest and most effective ORM services is provided by Google in the form of Google Alerts. Google Alerts is a simple search based tool where you can enter certain keywords or search terms that you think are connected to your company. If the term is used in other sources, you will get a notification about it and you can then monitor the alert from there.

It is also a time-consuming process to screen through a lot of articles with the same set of keywords but it is effective if you are looking for a specific article that may target the reputation of your company or even your own stature. Google Alerts is also the most popular ORM marketing tool that is being used in the digital world currently.

Compared to Google Alerts which is based upon general search results across the entire net, Hootsuite focuses only on the social media part of it and helps the company manage activity on it. Hootsuite makes your life easier as you won’t have to keep logging on and off different browsers, tabs and channels and you can answer and send all your messages along with simultaneously engaging with followers or friends.

Hootsuite works best with social media public pages as the amount of traffic is comparatively much more than you will get on your personal account. HootSuite helps in identifying spam, blocking messages that are repetitive or crass and create an environment that is safe from online trolls and haters. It also helps in providing speedy and thorough replies which might be necessary to maintain good conversion rates and traffic.

IFTTT or If This Then That, is a web-based service which is the perfect companion to your social media presence and content control. IFTTT works on a simple premise of triggers: for example, if you put out a tweet or a status on a particular social media platform, it will post the same in different forms through your other accounts on different social media websites. IFTTT lets you assign tasks so that you do not have to manually go through every post and also makes monitoring the posts easier.

IFTTT can also be used for automated replies, emails and handle with spam comments or hate speech.

Complaint Site Search

With the number of fake accounts and spam comments increasing, programmes like Complaint Site Search help a lot to protect your interests and your digital presence. This tool helps you search for any kind of negative or harmful comments which might be put up by spam commenters. Now you might want to hold on to the constructive criticism that you may receive but getting viral links and disgruntled users who just want to get under your skin can get a bit too much to a point, and this is where Complaint Site Search steps in.

Any negative feedback that might be lobbed against your site, brand or business will be checked in a matter of seconds. If you find any, you could immediately take steps to fix the problem so you or your organization will not have to face any kind of negative feedback over your credibility and trustworthiness.
