Cart Abandonment Rates Fall To 75.6% For Q1 2017 [Infographic]

The global cart abandonment rate for the first three months of 2017 was 75.6%, a fall of 1.2% from the last quarter. This data is taken from more than 500 of SaleCycle's clients, and we have tracked abandonment stats across six different industries.

The global cart abandonment rate for the first three months of 2017 was 75.6%, a fall of 1.2% from the last quarter. 

This data is taken from more than 500 of SaleCycle's clients, and we have tracked abandonment stats across six different industries. Cart abandonment rates range from around 64% for the gaming sector, which includes gambling sites, to almost 84% for financial sites. 

There are many reasons for the variances, but broadly it holds true that, the more complex and lengthy the purchase or quote process is, the higher the number of abandonments.
