Ecommerce Trends & Statistics - [Infographic]

The following infographic is based on the leading eCommerce trends and statistics that dictate how an eCommerce business has the tendency to grow. In order to keep your business always ahead of the competition while expanding it proportionally, you are required to benchmark against the latest trends and introduce the marketing strategies that can help accomplish bigger business goals.

Visitors are moody animals and to tame them into loyal customers requires a lot of time and research to learn their habits and temperament. By acquiring knowledge you can create the ideal habitat for them and use it to sell your products without resistance. But in order to do so, you must first find why they are afraid of visiting your ecommerce store or run away after staying there for a short while. Here are some statistics you will helpful in getting your customers back.

To make this official, a research was conducted and the findings were eye opening. The first and the most crucial reason behind customer cart abandonments are unexpected costs and hidden charges. It was noted that 28% shoppers are likely to abandon cart page if there are hidden shipping charges for their product. Another significant factor that keeps 23% of the shoppers from proceeding with their checkout is mandatory registration. 13% had reservations regarding the safety and reliability of the payment methods while 12% just weren’t very fond of confusing checkouts.  Show them any of these while they’re in the checkout and there will be a big NOPE.

It has also been revealed that customers often pay more attention to those products that have been retargeted with discounts. The statistics show that ages between 25-34 have the highest percentage (almost 72%) of buying retargeted products compared to the older age groups such as 45-54 and 55-64 which have 40% and 55% chance respectively.
