Optimize Your App Listing on App Store - Benchmark Your App, Rank Higher

The mobile app space is growing faster than it was envisaged. With over 2 million apps available in the stores, getting found is not so simple in this domain. Hence, what you really need is the App Store Optimization (ASO) strategy that can increase your mobile app’s visibility in this space.

You don’t only want your app to be noticed by the targeted users but also anticipate them to install it on their devices. To accomplish this purpose, you need to follow some mobile app marketing strategies that align with the ASO techniques. Here they are given for you:

It All Begins With The Name:

Your mobile app promotion strategies will fall flat if you fail to give your app an appropriate name. Finding a unique title will also not suffice if it is not backed by a proper keyword research and usage. In a study, it was revealed that the apps using relevant keywords in their title got 10.3% higher ranking as compared to the apps without keyword-enriched titles. Here, you must refrain from keyword stuffing and longer titles that can be truncated on the results pages.  So, keep it short, crisp, and unique.

Research Your Targeted Users:

The success of ASO strategies largely relies on your understanding of the target users. You must comprehend the requirements of users and their demographics. This will help you to hinge on the challenges to be faced in the current app landscape of your preferred niche. Apart from a comprehensive market research, you must also consider the factors like language preferred by your targeted users, keywords used by them for searching the apps, and most importantly, their reason to search the app. Give some thoughts to your competitors and their ASO strategies as well.

Do Some Keyword Research:

Like SEO, keywords are integral to the success of ASO as well. However, the spaces are at a premium in the app stores. If your page content will be enhanced with the proper keywords, you certainly own a chance to optimize whatever space you’ve got. Remember, you need to strike the right balance between levels of difficulty and traffic generated by keyword rankings. While the former relates to the competition being faced by your targeted keywords, the latter pertains to its popularity in the search volumes. You can use some automated keyword research tools to empower your ASO strategies with a full throttle.

Create A Convincing App Description:

The app description is your ultimate call to action and it must be compelling. Instead of stuffing it with keywords for app store algorithms, you should focus on creating a description that is concise, attractive, credible, and relevant to your app. Lay more emphasis on the first three lines of description and keep updating it on a real-time basis.

Design A Stunning App Logo:

The principle of conversion in mobile app solutions also depends heavily on the stunning visuals. So, if you want to increase the conversions on your app, design an icon or app logo that can truly stand out. It should be simple yet unique.

Use The Screenshots:

Optimize your app store visibility by including vivid screenshots in the app description. These screenshots and even, videos can bring your mobile app to life and boost its rankings as well. There is a limitation to the number of screenshots that you can integrate into the text. So, be specific while selecting the graphics and blend them with text overlays or other innovative features.

Apart from these, regular updates and reviews are other ASO strategies that you can employ to benchmark your app ranking at higher levels.
