Content Strategy 5 Key Elements

How to create quality relevant content

Currently companies are turning their marketing, recognition and Brand positioning efforts into social media. It is very important to create high quality and relevant content to get more followers, customers and make your audience to fall in love with your Brand. Content with these characteristics drives not only bigger engagement but also helps the brand to be recognize as a leader in its niche and to develop a closer relationship with the audience.

Content creation is based on 5 key elements:

  • Target Audience:
It is important to know your audience and define the type of user you wish to get to. This Will help you define the right content for each user. If your audience is mainly composed by CEO’s for instance, it is not right to create content for teenagers.

  • Goals:
Having clear goals and objectives such as the % of engagement you wish to obtain, or the number of followers you want to reach during a period of time, helps you to better locate your efforts and resources on social media, thus allowing you to generate content that helps you to achieve these goals.

  • Brand voice:
Define your brand’s voice and persona. This means, to define the way you want your brand to be recognized for. Define the adjectives and attributes that represent your Brand. This way, your content must be coherent with the messages you send to your audience.

  • Distribution Channels:
Know and define the ways through which your content will be sent and shared. It can be shared through blogs in your web page, infographics posted on Pinterest or shared to Twitter or Facebook, or contents shared on LinkedIn groups or Pulse. Social Media provides too many and valuable ways for brands’ exposition.

  • Tactics:
There are various tactics to create as well as to share content. Content can be created from scratch or can be curated, this means, you can collect information from different sources and then combine this information to generate your own content. The same way, you can use some tools to share your content, like using impacting images to go with your content to greater and better exposition through social media, thus reaching more audiences.

Keeping in mind these 5 elements and developing content creation and distribution tactics, you Will see your efforts on Social Media fulfilling results and achieving objectives.
