The Content Marketing Olympics: Infographic

For Rio 2016 a record number of countries are participating in a record number of sports with over 10,500 athletes participating. As content marketers we all want to break some records of our own. At Magnafi we have created our own Olympic infographic to help you bring home gold.

With a third of the British public completely obsessed with the Olympics and a further 42% stating they are engaged with the upcoming events it is really going to pay to have your content marketing strategy in the spirit of Rio 2016!

During the London 2012 Olympics the Organising Committee's stance was - "Trying to associate a brand with the Games, and to feed off the excitement and goodwill in the Games, when you have not paid the sponsorship fees to do so directly damages the funding for the Games and the British Olympic and Paralympic Teams competing at them. The best way to support the Games and our athletes is to respect the legal framework and not attempt to leverage the Games in marketing campaigns." Do content marketers in 2016 have a moral obligation to talk about other things than the Olympics to meet their marketing objectives, or are the laws too restrictive for what is a global event?
