How To Find And Share Awesome Content On Social Media

You may not have heard yet, but Social Media is the way forward when it comes to marketing your business nowadays.

You may not have heard yet, but Social Media is the way forward when it comes to marketing your business nowadays.

You can reach out and engage with huge audiences at a fraction of the cost of traditional marketing methods. As an example, you can see from my Twitter Analytics below that my Tweets have been shown 380,000 times on people’s newsfeeds in the last 28 days (see Tweet impressions)! How crazy is that!?

This isn’t just down to luck, this is down to a highly effective Social Media Marketing strategy which focuses on posting extremely shareable content. This blog post and accompanying video tutorial will teach you how to apply the exact strategy and free tool I use to find and share the awesome content I post on Social Media.

What you will learn

This video tutorial will teach you 4 important things;

1. What kinds of content you should be posting on Social Media.
2. How to find the most shareable content online using Buzzsumo.
3. How to easily share the most shareable content online using Buzzsumo.
4. How to easily schedule the content with Buffer’s Chrome extension.

How it works

Buzzsumo is a great free online search engine tool which works in a similar way to Google, but with a twist! Unlike Google, when you search for content on Buzzsumo, it brings back the most shared content on Social Media.

As you can see from the image above, next to each post it shows you how many Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and total shares each post has had.

So, why is this tool so useful?

This tool is useful because it allows you to find relevant content to share on your Social Media which has already 100% proven to be highly shareable.

Think about it. You share one of the popular pieces of content on your Facebook page to your network of 200 people. 3 of those 200 people share it from your Facebook page to their network of 600 people (3 x 200) each. And the process repeats.

This allows your brand to get in front of a huge audience of people, just by cleverly finding and sharing a relevant piece of content which has proven to be highly shareable.

What content should you search for on Buzzsumo?

For some clear, actionable examples of types of content you should search Buzzsumo for and post on Social Media read this blog post: The Ultimate Social Media Content Strategy Guide for Beginners

To give you a brief snapshot of ideas, you need to search Buzzsumo for content which is relevant to your industry. Think about what kinds of content your audience would want to take the time to read.

For example, try the following searches;

‘[enter your industry] Tutorials’

‘[enter your industry] News’

‘[enter your industry] Tips’

‘[enter your industry] Blogs’

‘[enter your industry] Articles’

How to optimise the tool

I’ve created a handy short video tutorial for you which you can watch here (scroll to the bottom of the page).

The full step by step tutorial will teach you exactly how to find and share awesome content on Social Media with Buzzsumo (also includes a bonus strategy which will save you a shed load of time when sharing the content on your Social media).
