Beverly Jackson from Yahoo! Teaches us How to Use Your Brand's Conversation

Beverly Jackson Head of Social Marketing, Yahoo! recently spoke at Social Fresh East 2014 in America on "How Yahoo! Uses Social Media to Stay Top of Mind".

Beverly Jackson Head of Social Marketing, Yahoo! recently spoke at Social Fresh East 2014 in America on “How Yahoo! Uses Social Media to Stay Top of Mind”.

From this talk we were able to take away the fact that Yahoo! are putting a lot of emphasis on their future social and content strategy with the aim of “making the world’s daily habits inspiring and entertaining”.  They have launched a number of Yahoo! ‘zines from food to technology to beauty and more, they have also launched a running series of daily live concerts in conjunction with Live Nation. Big things are happening at Yahoo! and their audience are at the heart of it all. The key factors in this are:

  •          Experiences
  •          Events
  •          Engagement

Behind the content Yahoo! are generating Beverly was keen to point out they have a strong social strategy and an even stronger social team as what they were trying to achieve through social is huge “Every moment we have to push the message about what we are doing and why we are there, we take that opportunity”.
