The Best Doughnuts in London: Digital Doughnut's Macmillan Coffee Morning
Last week Digital Doughnut organised a Macmillan coffee morning in aid of cancer care support.
Last week Digital Doughnut organised a Macmillan coffee morning in aid of cancer care support. We reached out to several doughnut shops in London to help us to raise money for Macmillan and we recieved an overwhelming response. Our team and office building were treated to the most mouth watering doughnuts you could ever imagine!
For those who don’t know, Macmillan encourages people to raise money for cancer support by hosting a coffee morning for friends, family and colleagues. In 2013 154,000 people signed up to the coffee morning and raised a record £20 million for charity.
We received a huge amount of support from local doughnut shops who donated boxes of delectable doughnuts to our coffee morning in order to raise money for cancer care support.
Dum Dum Donutterie
Dum Dum Donutterie is located at Box Park by Shoreditch High Street Station. They bake their doughnuts rather than frying them and it’s not for the health benefits, but rather for the taste and texture. Jiro and his team donated the most delicious doughnuts. A favourite was their strawberries and cream!
Glazed & Confused
Glazed & Confused win the award for the best name for a doughnut shop! Dan from Glazed & Confused generously donated doughnuts for our coffee morning and they can only be described as indulgent! Glazed & Confused delivers doughnuts to coffee shops and businesses around London. Their chocolate filled doughnut was the first to go!
The Doughnut Hatch
The Doughnut Hatch is located on Kingsland Road in Bird Restaurant. They bake their doughnuts on site and offer two decadent flavour doughnuts a day. We had two types of doughnuts, a vanilla and a peanut butter glaze. The glaze combined with the soft dough was melt in the mouth!
Bread Ahead Bakery
Bread Ahead helped us out by donating the creamiest doughnuts anyone has ever seen! They have a popular stall at Borough Market bakery producing fresh treats daily to Borough Market customers. Their honeycomb cream filled doughnut is one to try if you are ever passing by!
There were so many yummy doughnuts that it was hard to choose one! By donating doughnuts to our coffee morning these companies have helped us to raise over £170 for Macmillan Cancer Support! Thanks to all who supported the coffee morning!
