The Secrets Behind "Product Personality"

Read how this simple product personality strategy can change your e-business output! Great Product + Engaging Personality = Success!

Product personality is not that unknown anymore to some marketers. This strategy is already widely used in various brands to create a “personified” entity for the products which their viewers can relate to.

These personalities are “hand-made” by advertisers especially to each product. Giving this kind of characteristic not only helps your business to earn more attention from your website traffic, but it also heightens your brand’s potential in creating sales.

This strategy is already proven since bigger brands like Colgate’s talking brushes and Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte’s Twitter personality used this to promote their products. And as expected, these personalities pulled it off very nicely.

As a brand, you want to make sure that your audience will remember you. You’ll do almost every legitimate action to keep your traffic’s attention. Giving your product a “personality” works wonders in this way. When your product “speaks for itself”, it generates a hype separated from your main brand.

Your main product creates buzz, widens its exposure and lengthening its reach of guaranteed visitors. Your product then turns into an icon, which will then carry your main brand. This is why product personality is definitely one of the must try strategies for online marketing. What is the secret behind this famous technique? How can you use this strategy for your business?

  • Planning is a must – One must not execute this without any concrete plans. Product personality is not a simple strategy that can be fixed when it goes haywire. Remember, personality is forever embedded on your product. Failing to catch your viewer’s attention means it’s not really working at all. And if it didn’t work out for the first time, assure it won’t increase website traffic at all.

  • Use your creative juices in personifying your product – This strategy requires a lot of creativity to pull off. Bringing something to life needs a lot of “thinking outside the box” method. Putting up a personality that’s too common may end up being ineffective. This loses your chance in making buzz on the internet.

  • Consider the nature of the product itself – Brands don’t just randomly pick out personalities and pack it inside one product. For it to be effective, you must consider your products details. Does it requires to be flashy like the PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks) or does it requires being quirky just like the MnM candies?

  • Also consider the target audience of your brand – If you really want to boost website traffic, then you must also contemplate your product’s personality with your target audience.

Create a personality that is unique and still pleases your targeted traffic. Product personality gives that zesty twist to your product. A good marketing exposure to your products will automatically lead to greater exposure to your brand.

Make use of this strategy and master it. Let this be one of your greatest leverage in your business and make it as a good website traffic magnet for your brand.
