3 Ideas to get You Started With Vine for SEO

Vine is currently available only for iPhone and iPad and the app works similar to Instagram, here is an intro to the app

Vine is currently available only for iPhone and iPad and the app works similar to Instagram.  Where Instagram allows you to edit photos, Vine allows you to edit videos.  The app allows you to record and edit video within the app itself.  The videos can only be six seconds long allowing for quick shots to be edited together.  This app is already being integrated in to the social media world, you may have noticed these videos appearing on Twitter.

Companies are already using vine to their advantage, as you may have noticed from your Twitter feed. The Academy Awards used the ap to get viewers excited by sharing the backstage area.  Musicians such as Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 have been using the app to get closer to fans.  There are many ways to use the app to your advantage within your own company.

1) 6 Second Tutorials

It’s a chalenge, but make a 6 second video that gives an SEO tip.  To do this you can do clips of your computer screen.  The app records sound as well as visual so you can narrate your tip but it can’t be more than 6 seconds long.  A 6 second tutorial is helpful to others who work in SEO and would give them a reason to follow you on Vine!

2) Employees

Sharing a video of your employees puts a face, or faces, to the company.  It is a great way to show personality and share what your company is all about.  It is the employees that make the company function so why not show followers who is working behind the scenes?  For this you could edit quick flashes of each employee waving or doing something that tells a bit about who they are.

3) Office Space

Though many SEO workers are work-from-home, sharing the office space is a good way to help your clients.  You could tell your clients to do a Vine video of their office space.  This is another option that shows personality and gives insight in to the office environment.  With all the reality shows these days, people like to see what really goes on behind closed doors.  Though you don’t want your clients office to seem like "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," showing the office environment is a great idea for a Vine video.

We hope these tips have gotten you acquainted with Vine.
