Launch of Usability247

New multiplatform usability testing and user research agency launches today offering services when customers need them.

London, UK, Monday July 15th, 2013 - Paul Blunden, CEO, and former co-founder and CEO of Foviance, today announced the launch of Usability247 representing a new approach to delivering services in the user experience industry. Usability247 will provide multiplatform user experience research and usability testing services to customers around the world when they need them not when they are told they can have them.

Paul Blunden, CEO stated – “We are very excited to launch this business which will revolutionise the way customers can access key usability testing and research services. Usability is still lacking in too many products and interfaces due not only to the complexity in the technology and resulting change in user behaviour but also because clients can’t access services when they are needed. This is Usability247’s unique advantage.”

Usability247 will deliver multiplatform services to organisations when they need them so they no longer are required to take a two-week vacation from development when they want to “do” usability. There are three services at launch.

247:expert is an advanced expert review methodology incorporating video sessions from partner “WhatUsersDo”. The detailed analysis and recommendations make it the closest thing to lab usability testing without actually going into the lab.

247:lab is designed for those customers who want to view users in a lab environment and want results within a few days of booking the service.

And finally, for those customers that need to show they have researched with a representative sample of users there is 247:online that combines task testing and research questions to 200, 400 or 600 participants

All the services can be carried out across multiple platforms and geographies and customers will soon be able to book services online through a unique, self-service portal at the usability247 website.

Ashley Friedlein, CEO, Econsultancy commented. “Econsultancy believes that customer experience is the next competitive battleground in marketing. But delivering an outstanding user experience across the many, proliferating, devices and channels is hard. And doing that internationally is even harder. So a set of services like these, which can plug into existing capabilities and processes, is a great idea."

WhatUserDo founder Lee Duddell said “Usability247 is well positioned to offer the always-on, borderless and multi-device usability services that the market now demands. They have the right blend of tools and experience for organisations who are serious about UX and we are delighted to be working with them."

Usability247 delivers services when our clients need them – today, tomorrow, overnight, over the weekend. We are built for multi-platform: every smartphone, tablet, website. And we deliver services internationally – wherever our customers, customers and users are.
