I may be a Digital and Subscriptions Marketing Consultant, but the job title that would suit me best is Chief Geek. I'm the kind of person that revels in the detail, and am happiest when delving deep into her client’s business to help them with the issues at hand. With 15 years’ experience, I've worked for most of the largest business to business publishers – from Centaur, VNU to eight years at EMAP. As Head of Digital at EMAP, I was responsible for digital marketing strategy across subscription and events portfolios, to grow customer base through digital channels. My main remit was to work with and train marketing, sales and editorial teams to ensure best practice was met at every level. Since starting Project Digital Marketing, I've worked with both large B2B businesses and also smaller B2C SMEs. I've helped these clients with everything from defining objectives, business modelling, research, training, and planning to actual implementation of digital marketing activity. As Chief Geek, I'm well suited to digital marketing – not only can you track EVERY step, but you can test, test and test again!
