The content

It’s widely accepted that social media is mainstream and a part of our consumers daily life. For marketers social media is clearly an essential part of the marketing mix.

Given these facts companies continue to struggle to know what to listen to, when to listen and how to react. We have a particularly exciting line up for this event: two great speakers with enormous insight into how Social Media should be used and how we define what is important to incorporate into our marketing strategies.

Jamie Riddell - Creator, BirdSong: Social Media Reconnaissance

Jamie will be talking about how businesses can recognise and optimise strategic opportunities in social.

Jamie Riddell is one of the UK’s leading experts on Digital Marketing and emerging channels. Since 1996 Jamie has been at the forefront of Digital Marketing, co-founding then selling Cheeze, now part of Jaywing one of the UK’s largest Digital Marketing Companies.

As the creator of BirdSong Jamie has developed a unique platform of social media insights  helping global users identify opportunities by delivering competitive insights on Twitter and Facebook.

A man of many ’hats’, Jamie has also recently been appointed as Director of Social at Jaywing.

Jeremy Waite - Head of Social Strategy EMEA: Adobe

Jeremy’s theme is understanding how to cut through the clutter of Social Media and amplify the signal to noise ratio.

Jeremy’s past projects include working with TBG Digital (the worlds largest Facebook advertising agency), FTSE-100 organisations such as Unilever and Centrica as well as brands such as Reebok, Nike Golf, Unilever, MTV and Kellogg’s.
