Nick Baggott

Nick is MD of Navigate Consulting Ltd. Previously, Nick was Head of Consulting & before that Group Client Service Director at Chemistry responsible for driving marketing strategies for the Agency’s Clients including Microsoft, Diageo, Kodak, Yell, Toshiba, Unilever, SCA, Nestle & Transport for London. Nick has worked in 23 different countries in the last 2 years.

Nick started his career at Richardson Carpenter Advertising and then joined Carlson. In 1995, Nick left Carlson, where he was an Account Director to set up his own Direct Marketing Agency with 3 colleagues (KCJB Ltd), this Agency became Manifesto and then re-branded as Chemistry having floated and merged with TPD Interactive. Chemistry grew to become one of the UK’s largest independent agencies and was the first Agency in the UK to position itself as a CRM focused Agency. Its proposition is “ideas that Transform Relationships between People and Brands”.

Nick was a member of the DMA Agencies Council and has judged the DMA Awards. He has a degree in Business Studies (marketing) and Post- Graduate CIM Diploma. He is a Fellow of both CIM & the Institute of Direct Marketing.

Training & Consultancy Experience

Nick wrote and delivered the majority of Microsoft’s Marketing training in CRM, data and digital marketing in UK, LatAm & EMEA from 2006 to 2009. He has also delivered Client training for HP, Mead Johnson Nutrition, Yell, HSBC, Lloyds TSB, Royal Bank of Scotland, HBOS, Reuters, Dyson, 02, EMI, 3M, Surrey Police, Deloitte & the BMA. Nick has been on the Google faculty delivering branding, research and display related courses for 2 years. Nick is also on the CIM training faculty and delivers a range of public and bespoke courses in CRM and digital marketing.

Nick was Chemistry’s Chief Consultant for 5 years developing strategy for a number of global organisations. At Chemistry, he led the team that won the Microsoft UK, Transport for London, Diageo, Toshiba & Kodak pitches and led the team following appointment. Since leaving Chemistry, Nick has completed strategic consultancy projects for William Grant Distillers, Allied Irish Bank, Towergate Insurance, Computer Associates, Trader Media Group and Nokia.
