Mike has a BSc. in Maths (majoring in Statistics) and an MSc. (with Distinction) in Economics and Sociology from Imperial College, London.
He started in sales and marketing at Procter & Gamble, leaving to join DM agency EHS Brann (now EHS 4D) where his main account was Ford. At Carlson Marketing, Mike managed Nestlé, Mars, BT and Citroën accounts. He joined Wunderman (Y&R group) and was promoted to the Board as Group Director responsible for Ford, Legal & General, AIB and Monsanto.
Mike was Director of Direct and Digital at Kevin Morley Marketing, working on Land Rover, MG, Mini, RBS and Prudential. At Bozell Worldwide (now DraftFCB) he was Senior Vice President, European Integration, responsible for mergers and acquisitions in France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy and UK and heading up Direct/ Digital Marketing Operations on Chrysler and Jeep brands across Europe.
In 2008 Mike moved to Jack Morton Worldwide, (Interpublic’s experiential network), as Head Of Digital for Europe, Middle East and Africa with clients including Nokia, Shell, HP, Toyota and COI (DCSF and The Army). He left in 2009 to pursue a consultancy and training career. He trains ’in-company’ for major corporations (brand owners and agencies). His clients have included Allergan, Bauer, Heineken, BBC, GSK, VisitScotland, Man Investments and the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB).
He is Course Tutor on the IDM’s Diploma in Digital Marketing, and on the 3-day course Complete Digital Marketing. He sits on the Editorial Board of The Journal of Direct, Data and Digital Marketing Practice (Macmillan).
Mike is a Senior Examiner for The Chartered Institute Of Marketing (CIM).
Mike is the author of ‘The New Integrated Direct Marketing’ (Gower).
Mike is a Partner at Aprais, a strategic global agency/client relationship management consultancy.

Mike worked with Econsultancy to create course content, manage assessments and deliver lectures as Adjunct Professor of Digital Marketing and Lead Tutor on the Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing at Hult International Business School, London. He was voted ’Professor Of The Year’ by the students.
He is both passionate and knowledgeable about digital marketing and his classical marketing training and integrated background make him ideally qualified to train marketers (client-side and agency people) of all levels in digital skills.
